"The Aster Tie Skirt is such a versatile skirt!  It works for every season: I made it in wool for the fall and winter and denim and linen for the spring and summer. It works for different lengths: I've seen it made short and in a midi length and look equally cute.  And it works for different body types: the way Sarah designs her patterns, your body measurements become the dimensions of the pattern so there aren't fitting issues.  The skirt takes little fabric and can be made in an afternoon.  The instructions guide you through French seams so the insides stay neat.  The bottom and the top (including the tie) have a simple hem. Sarah's Morning Glory top (a free pattern) perfectly complements the Aster, if you are looking for a top to go well with the skirt."
