Fanny Pack

Fanny Pack

This fanny pack was originally designed for long cycle rides, but I quickly found it so functional and easy to wear that I started using it as my everyday bag. It stays out of the way and doesn't bounce around when you're cycling or walking. It's big enough to hold a phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, and other odds and ends like nice rocks you pick up at the beach.

Materials needed:

  • 1/4 yard fabric
  • Thread to match
  • 14" zipper
  • 10" zipper
  • 1 yard 1" webbing
  • 1" side release buckle
  • Measuring tape

This tutorial has easy, step-by-step instructions for how to cut, assemble, and sew all the pieces.

Fabric notes: Works best with a thick, woven fabric.

Sewing level: Intermediate
