Sewing Philosophy

There are lots of different kinds of sewing. My kind is the simple kind.

Here's peak at my patterns. ( Psst. If you'd like to try one out yourself or just get a closer look at one of them, you can check out my free patterns HERE. )

Using your own measurements, I walk you through how to cut out pattern pieces, step by step.

And then you get the thrill of trying on a brand new garment, made totally by you for you!

First you start by taking a few simple measurements you need for the garment.

Then I walk you through how to sew each piece together (I'm a big fan of French seams!) and finish the edges.

I love things to be really, really simple and clear. So I put together instructions for each sewing pattern that are easy and simple to follow. I don't use complicated sewing techniques and everything can be done with a regular sewing machine. (In fact, I do most of my sewing on my grandmother's old Singer that only has one stitch!) My aim is to make quality, unique garments that are both comfortable and functional using construction techniques that will make the finished piece last the lifetime of the material it was made with.
